The TV series Mad Men is reconstructing  the early 1960s in USA, and it has been a great  influence for who watch the fascinating creations and reconstructions of costumes. The dresses and hairstyles bring glamor that many fashionistas have already adopted in their everyday style. Mad Men is not only about glamour and shows the bad part of these years too. The series describes the society and culture of the period, highlighting the cigarettes, the consumption of alcohol, sexism and racial prejudice.

Imagine (or remeber) a movie that won an Oscar for best costume. Probably, a beautiful movie. But you would see it (be exposed to its influence) one time or another. But imagine a television series, made with cares headed to a movie, and that is weekly on TV. What impact  it would have in our fashion choices? What woul be the impact inside the fashion world?
